Creativity is an innate and essential trait of human nature. Learning, sharing and teaching go
hand in hand.
Teaching
Teaching workshops is my way of sharing the insights of my quiltmaking
experiences. My aim is to help participants move forward in their individual
creative journeys by mastering basic skills with playful and creative spirits.
Workshops can be tailored to fit specific interests and requirements. I will be happy
to travel to teach in your community.
Here are some workshops currently available:
- Shibori– Shaped-resist Mark Making,
- Mastering Curves – The Ins & Outs of Curve-piecing by machine
- Re-interpreting Tradition – Fabulous Sashiko Evening Purse
- Re-discovering Seminole– Taking out the Guess Work
- Demystifying Digital Magic – Capture digital Images on an Art Card
Lectures and Trunk Shows
During the last decade, I evolved from an amateur quilter to a professional textile artist. I enjoy invitations to share my enthusiasm in quiltmaking and to speak about the sources of my creative drive.
The following are some of the titles I presented in recent years:
- "Down the Path of Creativity",
- "Eastern Influences"
- "About Quilt Judging"
- "Pour mieux apprécier les courtepointe"
Writing
From time to time I like to put down my thoughts on paper. The Canadian Quilters, the quarterly Newsletter published by the Canadian Quilters Association has provided a forum for my ideas:
